The girls were working on their requirements for the\u00a0<strong><em>Local Lore<\/em><\/strong> badge.\u00a0 Thanks to our recent renovations, the Lovettsville Museum&#8217;s volunteers, Mike Zapf and Melani Carty, were able to cover the following bullet points from the badge booklet:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>LOCAL LORE<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Every town has a story. Every town had people and events that helped make it what it is today.\u00a0 How much do you know about where you live? Find out more with these badge activities.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Word of Mouth.\u00a0<\/strong> Find out about a story, legend, monument, or landmark in your community.<\/li>\n<li><strong>It&#8217;s All On the Maps.\u00a0<\/strong> How has your community changed?\u00a0 Locate a map of your town that is at least 25 years old.\u00a0 Compare that map with one from today.\u00a0 What has changed?
