From&nbsp;boycotts of British goods, to managing farms and businesses while the men were away from home, to raising funds for the army, participating in combat, and more, women stepped up and stepped in to help win the American Revolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tracy Gillespie has lived in Loudoun County since the age of one and worked for nearly 40 years in the museum and public history&nbsp;field in the county. She is co-founder of the Loudoun VA250 Committee and continues to work part-time and volunteer with local history organizations.
