The Lovettsville Historical Society will hold its Annual Membership Meeting at 2:00 on Sunday, December 9, at the Lovettsville Museum, 4 East Pennsylvania Avenue in Lovettsville (in front of the Town Hall).
The meeting is open to all members and prospective members, and will feature an exhibition of the Museum’s new design and displays. Over the past year and one-half, the Museum, has been undergoing a much-needed interior renovation and reconfiguration, to the delight of visitors, who find it much brighter and more spacious than before.
Many new displays are also featured at the Museum, which first opened in 1976. Today, the Lovettsville Museum is the only small-town museum in Loudoun County solely dedicated to telling the story of the community in which it is located.
The Annual Meeting will also include a report on the past year’s activities and acquisitions, as well as upcoming events for 2019. Elections for the 2019 Board of Directors will be held. Voting is restricted to paid-up members, so if you are not a member, or if your membership has lapsed, we urged you to join, or renew, today.
Refreshments will be served.
